Taipei Dog Training was founded in 2012, however founder Steve Rigden has owned and trained dogs for 40 years. In this time we have worked with hundreds of families helping them teach their new puppy how to behave, or helping them fix their dogs behavior problems. Since arriving in Taiwan we have spent a significant time helping people assimilate a shelter dog into their home, we are fairly confident that we can handle any problem that your dog may pose.

We have also been hired to train the New Taipei Police K9 Team to search for explosives and narcotics. We also worked for 3 seasons of the National Geographic TV show "Cesar's Recruit Asia". Further afield we worked with the British Army Canines when deployed in Bosnia.

Our wide and varied experience gives us the ability to be flexible when training dogs. Not all methods are suitable for all dogs, and not all people are suitable for all methods, we can devise a plan that works for everyone.

GROUP CLASSES
We will soon be offering group classes at parks across Taipei. An initial assessment is required to determine whether your dog is ready or not for group classes.
BEHAVIOR CONSULTING
We specialize in fixing behavior problems. We diagnose the source of the problem and design a plan to fix it. We are confident that if you work hard and don't give up, we will fix your dog.
ONE TO ONEÂ IN HOME LESSONS
Our Basic obedience course is six lessons taken at your home. We visit once a week and teach you, you practice when we leave. We also offer flexible bespoke courses on arrangement.
All 1-1 lessons are sold as a group of 6 lessons. These lessons must be completed within an 8 week window this is because results diminish if courses take longer than this to complete. There are no refunds for lessons that are not completed within this time frame. This is because our time has been reserved for these 8 weeks.

If a lesson is postponed we require 24 hours notice, failure to do so results in it not being rescheduled and a refund will not be given. If a lesson is postponed at shorter notice due to inclement weather this is by mutual agreement. We train in all weathers if it is safe to do so.
